WHO WE ARE

Our mission is to give students a unique camp experience that cultivates

their creativity and exposes them to the multitude of career opportunities

within the broadcast television and video production industry.

The Broadcast Design Camp is a project-based day camp for young content creators (Grades 8-10) interested in digital media and broadcast television. Our WEEK-LONG PROGRAMS use the discipline of broadcast production design as a way to engage campers in STEAM focused learning initiatives. The Broadcast Design Camp is in partnership with internationally-recognized, award-winning design firm,

Provost Studio and the Spilman Foundation.

We give students the rare opportunity to engage and learn through hands-on workshops, informative talks from working designers, and behind-the-scenes real world look into the design profession.

Our boutique camp allows students to explore the exciting worlds of

SET DESIGN, INTERIOR DESIGN, LIGHTING DESIGN, AND GRAPHIC DESIGN.

No design experience is necessary, just a passion to learn. We welcome youth from all around the Metro Area,

in all different stages in their passion for design, to join our creative community and to have some

fun with us!

DESIGN PRESENTATIONS

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

While teaching an Architectural Design class (6th-8th grade) in the North Carolina Wake County public school system as an adjunct instructor, I saw a genuine excitement and enthusiasm from the students working together on the interactive, project-based learning (using architecture as a way to teach STEAM) we were doing in class.

With each student, whose eyes lit up with self-satisfaction as they created something new, I became more and more convinced that we had to find a way to reach more young emerging designers and offer our program to the community.

I sincerely hope your child enjoys their time at our camp.  I look forward to seeing their own creative spark ignite this summer."
